I have a dream, as a European,
that in the age of intelligent machines,
human dignity will not become a relic.
I have a dream
that the future will not be decided only in Silicon Valley
or behind state firewalls,
but in open daylight,
by free people,
with clear principles.
I have a dream
that the great powers of AI, America and China,
will hear a different voice from Europe:
not a voice of fear,
not a voice of weakness,
but a voice of sovereignty.
A voice that says:
Technology must serve humanity.
Power must answer to truth.
Algorithms shall never rule over persons.
Europe has written its answer:
the EU AI Act – not merely a regulation,
but a declaration of human independence in the age of machines.
And so we call to the AI superpowers:
Here are our terms.
Here are our values.
Here is our field of play.
Machines may be powerful.
But human freedom is greater.
